I went online and built a GMC 3500 4x4. What I built was not available anywhere, so I had to order it. I was told by 2 dealerships that were closer to my home that even though I was ordering the truck, their "dealership policy" was that high priced "dealer add on's" were mandatory, no exceptions and that they would offer no discount from full blown sticker price plus the dealer add on's. They even said that "all dealerships required you to pay for dealer add on's". I told them that I knew for a fact that wasn't true of Classic GMC in Galveston and that's where I would go next. I met Jeff J. and I was a completely different experience. In fact, not only did they not require the $1,000's in dealer dealer added costs, but they sold me the truck for well under sticker. I highly recommend Jeff J. and the Classic Auto Group and would definitely do business with them again.

After finding out my certified pre owned vehicle I purchased at Classic had expired for AC repair, they charged me 175.00 fee for diagnostics. No one had informed me when I dropped it off there would be a fee. After complaining about that fee, they took off 50.00 I asked on the phone if the oil had been changed and they said there wasn’t a service request for that but it was the first item on the order. Needless to say, I will not take my car back to Classic for any service orders in the future.

I recently brought my truck to Classic Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac for warranty work on the A/C system, which was not cooling properly. My vehicle has approximately 33,000 miles, so I also requested the 30,000-mile recommended maintenance be completed during the same visit. I initially scheduled my service using the OnStar app, which proved to be difficult and time-consuming. It took over 30 minutes and required chatting with three different individuals just to get the process completed. Even then, I never received a confirmation. When I followed up with the dealership directly, I was informed that I did not have an appointment on file. The staff was friendly and scheduled me for 7:00 AM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. I dropped off my vehicle on time, but by Friday, I still had not received any update. When I visited the dealership in person, I learned that no work had been started. I was told that an “appointment” simply reserves a time to drop off the vehicle—it does not mean work will begin at that time. That may be the dealership’s process, but it is misleading. In most industries, an appointment is when the service is expected to be performed, not just when the customer is allowed to wait in line. Since I needed my truck for the weekend, I was allowed to take it and return it Monday morning while keeping my “spot in line.” I made it very clear that I had to have my truck back by Wednesday at the latest due to a planned RV trip. My truck is my tow vehicle. If it wasn't ready, I would be forced to cancel a vacation and lose money. I returned Tuesday around 1:00 PM to check on progress. I was told the A/C repair and part of the maintenance had been completed, but they overlooked the maintenance tasks listed on “page 2.” They assured me it would be finished that afternoon. I came back after 4:00 PM, waited in the lobby, and was told the truck was ready. But when I went to finalize everything, I was informed that they still had not completed the full 30k maintenance. None of the vehicle fluids had been changed. They advised me to bring the vehicle back next time to complete the service. That’s unacceptable. I requested all of this to be done during the same visit—there was no reason for me to have to return, especially after the delays. They had my vehicle for the better part of a week and completed less than one day’s worth of work. This isn’t a scheduling issue; it’s a failure to plan and execute service efficiently. If the dealership cannot honor appointments with actual service, then the process should not be labeled as such. It creates false expectations. At the very least, when customers are without their vehicles for warranty work, a loaner vehicle should be provided—especially when delays are caused by the dealership. The staff was polite and courteous, but the service process was inefficient, disorganized, and ultimately frustrating. This experience does not reflect the level of professionalism I expect when servicing a high-value vehicle.

The service went well. Most of my questions were answered. The only issue is that I was told to come back to drop my car off so that the brakes can be further checked and replaced if necessary. It is going to be hard to drop the car back off at the dealership for an entire day. Are you able to allow me to use a vehicle while my car is being analyzed? Please have someone to contact me about this because I can't be without a vehicle while my car is being evaluated. Especially if you need to keep the car for an entire day. Please advise because my brakes have been squeaking since I bought the car. Thanks.

The gentleman that checked me in was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was disappointed that I got an oil change and no one updated the sticker on my windshield to remind me of the mileage where an upcoming oil change would be needed. I am also use other service dealerships provided a list of all inspected all I was given was receipt, I just have to trust that everything was checked to help keep my vehicle maintained.

The moment I went in I immediately felt welcomed and not pressured the entire time. Told Mina exactly what I was looking for before arriving and he made sure to communicate the process from start to finish. I had a vehicle to trade in that I had high miles (almost 200K) and he got me 4 times more than what I was offered at Gay GMC - and definitely more than what I was expecting in general. Gay GMC was quoting over $1K payments as a base (including $15K as a down payment) - Galveston got me at $900 that included the full coverage package and only $10K down. Left with my first "mom car" and happy that it wasn't going to break the bank. Highly recommend Mina at the Classic Galveston dealership!

I had an engine overheating issue and had to have it towed in. It took the dealership over two weeks for them to even diagnose the problem and then two days to fix it. They did not offer a rental car or anything while I waited for it. I will never buy another GM VEHICLE. I actually bought a new Toyota Sequoia instead.

I scheduled an appointment on the 18th of December for the 30th. When I arrived I was told that there were 43 vehicles in front of me and that I would need to leave the vehicle. The next day I received a diagnosis of a bad power steering pump at a cost of $2,435. I asked to come and get my vehicle which I did as I couldn’t afford that amount. I paid over $200 for the diagnostic fee and some fluids. The vehicle had the water pump seized on the way home. Actual diagnostic was a bad water pump not a bad power steering pump. I need a full refund as your diagnosis was totally incorrect. The power steering is fine.
